Colosseum Roma Ancient Theatre
Details
Rome's best-known historical building, the Coliseum, is a fighting arena where gladiators we always see in movies fight. The ancient theater, which was built in 72 AD, was an important event area where the Roman people had fun in ancient times.
Today, although it has been damaged over the years, it is relatively completely visited.
Interestingly, the famous wars of the period were also recreated in the Coliseum. So much so that even naval wars were carried out by filling water inside the Colosseum with special mechanics. Thus, in addition to entertaining the public, the activities aimed to reflect and adopt the power of the Roman Empire.
In the period when the Empire lost power, shops were established inside the coliseum; it has become a place where military barracks train. Today, it is one of the most visited buildings in the world.
