Details
Built in 1631-1654 in Agra, India, the mausoleum was built by Shah Cihan, the 6th ruler of the Mughal Empire, for his wife Ercüment Banu Begüm, who died on June 17, 1631 before the age of 40.
It is told that after Ercümend Banu died while giving birth to his fourteenth child, the ruler combined his love for his wife with this magnificent mausoleum.
The Taj Mahal, which is the subject of the world's most expensive love story, was built for about $ 1 billion with today's money.
