Google Earth You can view and share Google Earth information using KML files. KML (Keyhole Markup Language) is a file format created for storing geographic data and related content in Google Earth. Find out what KML files are.
If you have a KML or KMZ file from an old Google Earth version, you can open it in Google Earth Android.
- Open the Google Earth app on your Android phone or tablet .
- Tap Menu Projects .
- Tap Open at the top .
- Tap Import KML File to add a file directly from your device .
- Tap Open project from Drive to select the file from Google Drive or a shared file .
- Tap the file you want to add.
- Tap Back to return to the map and view the file .

You can view many of the simple KML files in Google Earth Android.Currently you can import:
- Landmarks , lines/paths and polygons
- Image overlays (aka floor overlays)
